Take a look at our top tips for making your visit to the Games a safe and comfortable one:

Before you leave:

For up-to-date Games information and daily traffic news tune into 麻豆官网首页入口 2002 (97.7FM).

Plan your journey in advance. For Transport Information check our . See also our Road Closures information.

Dress appropriately. Check our for the day's forecast. Remember that some Venues may be quite warm, such as the Manchester Aquatics Centre. Other events are held outdoors so take waterproofs if necessary. Wear comfortable footwear.

Take only the essentials with you - that huge backpack could be a real drag after a while. There are no cloakrooms at ticketed venues so travel light.

Check the date and time on your tickets and don't forget to take them with you!

Leave in plenty of time. Allow time for your journey and any walking between car park/station and the venue. Plan to arrive an hour before the event (two hours for the City of Manchester Stadium).

Food and drink is available at the Venues however bring cash. There are no cash machines at the Venues.

Disabled spectators can visit the GamesMobility Centre at Sportcity and borrow electric and manual wheelchairs when booked in advance. If you need Blue Badge parking, make sure you book your space in advance by telephone.

Use public transport whenever possible. Check our for useful contact numbers. Use the free shuttle buses from Piccadilly and Victoria Stations in the city centre to Sportcity. Use the park and ride sites at Manchester United, Heaton Park and Lancashire Cricket Club.

When you arrive:

Have your bag available for security screening on arrival.

Be careful not to take any prohibited items into the Venue with you, like alcohol. Check our Venue Guide.

Look out for Crew 2002 volunteers. Most will be wearing purple uniforms and they are there to assist you.

Choose a meeting point at the venue in case you get separated from friends and family.

If you're bringing your children, point out a member of Games staff who they can ask for help if they get lost

Check any Venue restrictions - such as flash photography. Check whether you are in a smoking or no-smoking area.

Throw your rubbish in the right bin - all venues will have two types of bin, one for general waste and one for plastic that can be recycled.
