A masterpiece by the artist Sir Anthony Van Dyck will go on display at the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull this weekend.

The artwork is being loaned to the gallery by the Queen as part of an ongoing partnership with the Royal Collection Trust.

A 70-year-old man faces 13 charges of sexual abuse against teenage boys in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

Police say Dylan Lamb, formerly known as Johnathan Haythorne, of Queens Court in Scawby, has been charged with five counts of indecent assault, four counts of gross indecency and four counts of additional, serious sexual offences.

The charges relate to offences reportedly committed in Rotherham, Doncaster and Brigg in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

At the time he was working as a football coach in South Yorkshire and a hockey coach in North Lincolnshire.

Mr Lamb has been bailed until his appearance at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on 22 May.

A man has died after apparently being struck by a vehicle after getting out of his car following an accident on the M62 near Howden last night.

It happened near to the Ouse Bridge at around 18:15 last night.

Humberside Police said a white Ford Kuga was travelling eastbound on the M62 when it was believed to have collided with an HGV, travelling in the same direction.

The driver of the Kuga is then thought to have left his vehicle and was struck by a car travelling on the westbound carriageway.

A 49-year-old man suffered fatal injuries and sadly died at the scene. The drivers of the HGV and the car travelling westbound we not injured.

A friend of Renata Antczak who was last seen a year ago says "in our hearts she's still alive".

Hornsea is getting ready to host the Tour de Yorkshire for the very first time.

The cycling race will go through the town on Thursday 3 May, after setting off from Beverley.

School children at Hornsea Community Primary School have been turning bikes blue and yellow to help decorate the town on the big day.

Discover artefacts from the whaling industry at Hull Maritime Museum from decorated scrimshaws to whale bones used in Victorian corsets.

Scrimshaws were carved whale bones, and decorating them was a popular activity among whalers during the 19th Century.

This was an era when whaling was regarded as acceptable but today's works are a reminder of this traditional industry.

There's another chance for people to see plans to redevelop the seafront in Bridlington today.

The proposals include repaving the area north of the harbour up to the leisure centre.

The designs will be on show at East Riding Leisure this afternoon and council officers will be on hand to record people's views.

A miniature goat called Ben, who had been missing from his home in East Yorkshire, has been tracked down.

His owners at a petting zoo in Cottingham launched an appeal to find him after he went missing at some time over the weekend.

Ben has now been tracked down to an address five miles away on Chamberlain Road in Hull.
