A 21-gun royal salute was fired at Edinburgh Castle at noon on Saturday by the 105th Regiment Royal Artillery to mark the anniversary of the Queen's coronation.

In Perth, more than 1,000 people took part in one of the world's biggest ever kilted-runs. The Kilt Run, along an 8km route beside the Tay, failed to beat the previous record, set by the Canadian town of Perth, Ontario.

Angela Smith baked this regal cake for a street party in Gotterstone Drive in Dundee. She said about 100 people were expected to attend.

Russell Harrison in Aberdeen was right on track for the Jubilee celebrations by putting up some bunting on his garden railway in Aberdeen.

Lorna Wright from Edinburgh and Selina McCready from North Berwick entered into the Jubilee spirit at a street party in Edinburgh on Saturday. Crowds enjoyed live jazz, entertainment and food provided by the bars and restaurants at the Omni Centre.
