Paralympics 2024: GB win 30th gold medal on day six

The medals keep on coming for ParalympicGB in Paris with the team picking up their 30th gold medal of the Games!

Faye Rogers claimed Great Britain's only gold of day six in the women's S10 100m butterfly final, with the team also winning three silver and three bronze medals.

The results mean that ParalympicsGB stay in second place in the medals table, behind China.

Who won gold for ParalympicsGB on Tuesday?

It was a British one-two in the pool, as Faye Rogers and Callie-Ann Warrington both picked up medals in the women's S10 100m butterfly final.

Faye Rogers beat team-mate Callie-Ann Warrington to deliver Great Britain's 30th gold medal on day six.

It was a special moment for both swimmers as they claimed their first Paralympic medals.

After the race, Faye said she was "a bit emotional" and that she "couldn't be prouder" of how far she'd come.

What other medals did ParalympicsGB win on Tuesday?

Callie-Ann was equally delighted with her silver after producing a personal best in the pool to finish a close second behind her good friend Faye.

She explained: "To be able to race against Faye is just everything. We have been saying to each other the last couple of months, 'come on, we can get the one-two'.

"It was lovely to have her next to me. We are very good friends until we get to the blocks, then we are competitors, and it's nice to be able to separate that," she added.

ParalympicsGB won six medals in total on Tuesday.

Away from the pool, Samantha Kinghorn won her second para-athletics silver of the Games, finishing second in the women's T54 1500m final.

She described the noise in the stadium as "absolutely electric" and said she was "absolutely buzzing to come away with a medal."

Piers Gilliver claimed wheelchair fencing silver for Great Britain in the men's sabre A event.

He explained: "Once the Games come to a close, you can really look back and be proud of winning a medal - it鈥檚 a big deal."

In the para-equestrian, Natasha Baker and Georgia Wilson also won bronzes in the individual grade III and II events.

ParalympicsGB finished the day on 61 medals - with 30 golds, 18 silvers and 13 bronzes.
