Camouflage by Brian Bailey
Sometimes
i've been an ocean that's never felt a shore
sometimes
i've been a stranded whale that needs the sea, and more
sometimes
i've been an angry cloud, looking 4 somewhere 2 reign
like lightning,
i'd strike down,
then shine like a sun again
once, i was a new born baby
i'd scream, (i'd scream 4 more!!!!!!) But u can't b a baby 4 ever
u cant walk while u crawl on the floor
and u can't hide a tree in your bathroom,
u can't protect fields from the rain
u can't hide who u r or where u came from
at daze end, take the credit or blame
4 would bees want to look like butterflies
proud oaks never wish they were telegraph poles
would a hurricane wish it were merely a breeze
have u ever seen a lion with a clock radio
would an iceberg lose sleep if it sinks a ship
would a mongoose think twice b4 killing a snake
would a change of clothes make a tulip a rose
and did you ever
hear a swan apologise four its grace
will a bullet close its eyes as it closes on u
and y were u hypnotised
when eye said
i love you!
Go on, check your disguise
i might see the real you
your camouflage
your charade
is killing
you!
