Teachers Resources

The Study Ireland Poetry series was provided by the 麻豆官网首页入口 at the request of the Education Broadcasting Council for Northern Ireland. The series follows five themes, examining the works of contemporary poets to discover how and why they write.

The series is designed for pupils following the Northern Ireland Curriculum for English Language and Literature to GCSE - Key Stage 3-4 (12-16). It supports the process of change happening to the English curriculum.

Growing Up

looks at how some writers experience life from early childhood to adolescence.

Relationships

examines the complex webs that bind people together and hold them apart.

Nature & Landscape

draws on a long Irish written tradition that deals with animals and the world that they live in.

War

contains poetry written in response to the painful experiences of the people of Northern Ireland during the 30 years of the Troubles.

A Sense Of Place
