How the fair got its name...An old story said the name Goose Fair came about after an angler caught a pike in the River Trent. Half a million visitors are expected to enjoy the fair, now in its 714th year! Goose Fair is one of Europe's largest travelling fairs, with more than 500 rides, games and exhibitions to thrill and amuse you.
