Tim Davie, Director of Marketing, Communications and Audiences, 麻豆官网首页入口, and Chair and Director, Freesat

Tim Davie became Director of the 麻豆官网首页入口's Marketing, Communications and Audiences division in April 2005 having previously been Vice President, Marketing and Franchise, PepsiCo Europe.

He is a member of the 麻豆官网首页入口's Executive Board, Chair and Director of Freesat, a Director of Digital UK and a trustee of Children In Need.

He is responsible for all the 麻豆官网首页入口's marketing, communications, audience research and insight activities and the 麻豆官网首页入口's audience services department, which includes the 麻豆官网首页入口's customer call centres.

Tim read English at Cambridge University and joined Procter and Gamble's marketing department straight from there, becoming a Brand Manager in 1991.

Appointed as UK Marketing Manager for PepsiCo in 1993, Tim was subsequently promoted to Vice President, Marketing, Europe and Sub-Sahara Africa, holding several similar appointments, including in the United States, before taking up the Vice President for Marketing and Franchise post.

Michael Grade, Executive Chairman, ITV plc

Michael Grade is the Executive Chairman of ITV plc. He has a long and distinguished career in broadcasting, encompassing London Weekend Television, the 麻豆官网首页入口 and more than nine years as Chief Executive of Channel Four Television.

He is non-executive Chairman of Pinewood and Shepperton Film Studios and also of Ocado. He is also a non-executive Director of Charlton Athletic Football Club.

In May 2004 he was appointed Chairman of the 麻豆官网首页入口, resigning in November 2006 when his appointment as Executive Chairman of ITV was announced.

Emma Scott, Managing Director, Freesat

Emma Scott became Managing Director of Freesat in September 2007. She is responsible for Freesat's launch, for developing and implementing the company's strategic direction, and leads the team who deliver the Freesat service.

Prior to taking up the role of Managing Director, Emma was Freesat Project Director in the 麻豆官网首页入口's Strategy division, where she established the Freesat joint venture company.

From 1999 to 2004, Emma was Head of Projects in the 麻豆官网首页入口 Director-General's Office, responsible for delivering large scale initiatives for the then Director-General, Greg Dyke.

During this period Emma led the submission of the 麻豆官网首页入口 bid for a Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) licence and was launch director for Freeview, the first free-to-air digital television service.

She was also responsible for a 麻豆官网首页入口 regional development initiative, which included the 麻豆官网首页入口's first broadband television trial.

Emma studied Politics at the University of Hull and has an MBA from Bradford Management School.

Emma began her career as a researcher in the House of Commons and went on to work in Sydney, Australia, in strategy and marketing roles for Optus Communications from 1992 to 1996. In 1997 she joined the 麻豆官网首页入口 as a corporate strategy adviser.

Mark Thompson, Director-General, 麻豆官网首页入口

Mark Thompson was appointed Director-General of the 麻豆官网首页入口 in May 2004 after being Chief Executive of Channel 4 since December 2001.

Prior to joining Channel Four his career at the 麻豆官网首页入口 had spanned more than 20 years.

He became Director of Television in April 2000, responsible for the management and running of all 麻豆官网首页入口 network television channels and, from January 1999, was Director of National and Regional Broadcasting with responsibility for all broadcasting activities in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and for local and regional broadcasting in England.

Mark joined the 麻豆官网首页入口 in 1979 as a production trainee, working on the launch of Watchdog in 1981 and Breakfast Time in 1983 and as an output editor on Newsnight in 1985. He was appointed Editor of the Nine O'Clock News in 1988 and Editor of Panorama in 1990, Head of Features in 1992 and Head of Factual Programmes in 1994. He was Controller of 麻豆官网首页入口 Two from 1996 to 1998.

Mark was educated at Stonyhurst College and Merton College, Oxford.
