Pauline Quirke stars in new drama and Missing Live returns to Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Daytime – Louise Minchin

Louise Minchin is one of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's top journalists and presenters. As a news anchor, she regularly presents Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Breakfast on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú One, and the One O'clock news, and has a regular slot on the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú News Channel.

Louise says: "I can't wait to do Missing Live again as it's not often TV makes such a real difference to people's lives. Last year with the help of our viewers we found people who were missing and helped bring some families back together, and I am hoping we can do the same and more this year. I am incredibly proud to be part of such a ground-breaking programme."

During her career as a news presenter Louise has covered the major news stories of the last decade and also presents on location. And over the last few years Louise has anchored the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's coverage of major news stories including the 7/7 bombings, and she presented Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú One's Ten O'clock news on the day Saddam Hussein was executed.

Louise trained as a journalist at the London College of Printing. She has a degree in Spanish from the University of St Andrews and spent a year living and working in Latin America as part of her degree.

Louise started her career at the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú as a production assistant with the World Service, and the Today programme. After her journalism degree she went on to spend five years presenting on 5 Live, on Sport on Five, Drive and Breakfast, and then moved to the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú News Channel. Louise also presented the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's Sunday Life with Colin Jackson.

In 2007 she made a documentary, Darcey's Swansong, about the retirement of Britain's most famous ballerina, broadcast on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú World and Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú News.

Louise has played herself as a news presenter in TV dramas Spooks and Silent Witness.
