Tonight's The Night returns for second series

John Barrowman

Tonight's The Night, hosted by John Barrowman, has been recommissioned. The show, which will be produced this summer, will be tied to the National Lottery and include the live draws.

Following a successful first series, the show, which sets out to make dreams come true, will return to Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú One on Saturday nights.

It will feature a series of surprises for unsuspecting and deserving members of the public, all of whom will have the chance to give the performance of a lifetime.

They could find themselves performing to the nation with their pop star idol, on stage with the cast of their favourite musical or locked in a head-to-head race with their Formula One hero.

Now also featuring the live Lotto, Dream Number and Thunderball Saturday draws, it's the show that really can make dreams a reality.

John Barrowman said: "I am just thrilled that Tonight's The Night is coming back to Saturday nights on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú One. Once again I can't wait to make the nation's performance dreams come true."

Alan Tyler, Executive Editor for Entertainment, said: "We're delighted that Tonight's The Night will be produced by Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Scotland this summer. John has worked in the Pacific Quay studio before and we are confident that his enthusiasm for the show and for a return to Glasgow will light up the screen."

The show is a co-production between Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Vision's in-house entertainment department and Barrowman Barker Productions, and will be executive produced by Louise Rainbow. The show was commissioned by Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú One Controller Jay Hunt, Controller of Entertainment Mark Linsey and Executive Editor for Entertainment Alan Tyler.
