NHS Choices: Sex Worth Talking About is a website that provides straightforward information and advice to make it easier to discuss everything to do with contraception and sexual health, including Teen talk, a section specially designed for young people.
Brook
Brook provides sexual health services and advice for all young people under 25. Ask Brook offers a confidential helpline, online enquiry service and text information service. Contact their Helpline on 0808 802 1234
FPA
The sexual health charity FPA gives straightforward information, advice and support on sexual health, sex and relationships to everyone in the UK.
Marie Stopes International
Marie Stopes International is a leading independent provider of sexual and reproductive health services. They offer contraception, STI and HIV testing and referral, medical abortion, surgical abortion, vasectomy, female sterilisation, and health screening for men and women through their network of centres, as well as non-judgemental, non-directive information and counselling for all of their services. Terrence Higgins Trust
Terrence Higgins Trust is an HIV and sexual health charity which offers a wide range of support services, including emotional support and information by phone, help with accessing HIV testing, treatment advice and counselling. Whatever your sexuality, HIV status, gender, cultural background or ethnic origin, THT has services set up with your needs in mind. If you’re affected by HIV, then they’ll try to help. Pozitude
Pozitude is a website set up by a group of young people who are living with an HIV positive status which young people can use as a safe place to find out about living with HIV.
Naz Project London (NPL)
Naz Project London (NPL) provides sexual health and HIV prevention and support services to targeted Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in London. You can get in touch by phone on 020 8741 1879 (9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday)
Positively UK
Positively UK is a national charity championing the rights of people living with HIV. If you want to talk to another person living with HIV you can call the peer support helpline on 020 7713 0222 (10am to 5pm weekdays, Thursdays until 8pm).
It also provides a service for 16-24 year olds living with HIV, led by young people also living with HIV. If you are dealing with a new diagnosis, or coming to terms living with HIV and would like the right support and information, you can get in touch on 020 7713 0444 (10am to 4pm weekdays).
Aids Trust Cymru
Aids Trust Cymru aims to turn a positive diagnosis for HIV into a positive outlook on life and living with the virus. Aids Trust Cymru offers emotional, physical, practical and social support to adults, teens and children, living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. They have a drop-in-centre which is open daily between 11am and 3.30pm five days a week that offers a range of complementary therapies. It also has two support teams, one based in Swansea and the second covering Carmarthen/Pembroke/Ceredigion, who are able to provide one to one support in people’s homes to ensure that they are able to live as full a life as possible.
