Lifespan: 20-25 years
Diet: fish and any carrion such as deer
Distribution: Found in the highlands and lochs of Scotland, especially around Mull
You may not know:
- The white tailed eagle is the largest bird of prey in the UK, with a wingspan of 2.5m
- Breed at 5 - 6 years of age. They spend the winter taking part in courtship and nest building activity. They lay 1-2 eggs in March.
