Calling all Second World War Veterans
The Royal British Legion want to make sure that the Second World War generation is at the heart of all VE Day activity and, as part of this, they are calling all veterans of VE Day, who would like to take part, to join in the national commemorations in London.
Places will be available for the following commemorative events over the weekend:
Friday 8 May: a Service of Remembrance will be held at the Cenotaph.
Sunday 10 May: a Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey, followed by a march from the Abbey to Horse Guards Parade and into St James’s Park, where the Legion will host a lunch reception.
