Taut thriller inspired by Howard Hawks's Rio Bravo about a violent stand-off in Anderson, Los Angeles, following the killing of six members of a tough street gang in a police ambush.
The local police station - on the verge of closure and all but empty - comes under siege from the rest of the heavily armed gang. With help on the way, the motley crew of one cop, two secretaries, and two death-row prisoners attempt to hold out until police reinforcements arrive.
