Glan-y-cwn and Sprint Mill
Episode 9 of 10
People attempt to have their work accepted into the National Gardens Scheme. Sprint Mill is a wild, working garden, by a river in the Cumbria fells.
Carol Klein presents a series which follows people's attempts to have their gardens accepted into the demanding National Gardens Scheme.
Sprint Mill is a wild, working garden, by a dangerous river in the Cumbria fells. The owner uses organic and permaculture principles, meaning there are no flowers except a few wild ones. Glan-y-cwm is a highly manicured, steeply landscaped garden full of topiary and shrubs. The shed is to be demolished to allow for wheelchair access and a larger patio.
