Because I Paced My Thought

Marie Louise Muir talks to Frank Ormsby, Anne Tannahill and Cahal Dallat about the poet John Hewitt.

Marie-Louise Muir talks to Frank Ormsby, Anne Tannahill and Cahal Dallat about the poet John Hewitt, described by fellow poet James Simmons as 'the daddy of us all' - a father figure to several waves of Northern poets. He produced 20 books and pamphlets of verse, and sought to create a cultural identity which would transcend sectarian divisions and appeal to both the Planter and the Gael.
