Ann am Bata, Nam Aonar
Tha Niall Iain D貌mhnallach a'cuir d霉bhlan air thoiseach air fh猫in - iomradh tarsainn A Chuan Sg矛th. Niall Iain MacDonald attempts to row the Minch against all the odds.
'S e craoladair a tha st猫idhte air Eilean Le貌dhais a th' ann an Niall Iain D貌mhnallach agus 's a Cheitean 2007, a'fulang le trom-inntinn, theich e airson tr矛 seachdainean. Nuair a thill e, chaidh a dhearbhadh gu robh e da r矛ribh a'fulang le trom-inntinn - tinneas a tha gu math tric air a chumail air falach agus tinneas air nach eil daoine de貌nach bruidhinn. A dh'aindeoin na bha e a'fulang, chuir Niall Iain d霉bhlan air leth air thoiseach air fh猫in - iomradh tarsainn A Chuan Sg矛th. Chan e d霉bhlan furasta a tha seo idir - d脿 fhichead m矛le 's a tr矛 ri iomradh - 's an t-Iuchar - ann an aimsir a tha ag atharrachadh tric. Ged a tha neart fisigeach a dh矛th airson leithid seo fheuchainn, nas cudromaiche buileach tha neart inntinn deatamach. Tha an d霉bhlan a'gabhail a-steach tr矛 m矛osan de dheisealachadh, foighidinn agus f猫in-chreideas.
Niall Iain MacDonald is a broadcaster living on the Isle of Lewis. In May 2007, he suffered a breakdown, disappearing from society for three weeks. On his return, he was diagnosed as suffering from depression, an illness often hidden away and rarely discussed. Niall Iain set himself a challenge in the face of what he was suffering. He decided to row across the stretch of water between mainland Scotland and the Isle of Lewis, known as The Minch. A distance of forty-three miles in unpredictable weather, even in July, is no mean feat. The row demands physical strength, but more importantly mental endurance. The challenge takes three months of preparation, dedication and sheer willpower.
