In this story of the enduring power of family ties over generations, Iain Morrison travels from his home in Lewis, to Orkney and Canada in search of his roots within Canada's aboriginal community.

A chance meeting with an American Indian chief and his wife visiting Lewis last year, inspired Lewis bus company owner and driver Iain Morrison from Barvas to find out more about his own roots in Canada's aboriginal community.

Iain's great great grandmother was one of a number of North American Indian women to come to Lewis in the 1800s as wives of Lewismen who worked for the Hudson's Bay Company in Canada.
