A stranger arrives in Shieldinch asking questions about Robbie. Scarlett runs the risk of putting her fundraising event above her health. Can Theresa shake off her past?

It's Scarlett's charity fun day and the locals are out in force, with Nick Morrison officially opening the ceremony. However, Robbie (despite having the job of rounding up volunteers for the sponsored headshave) is too busy trying to persuade Deek and Hayley to invest in his new venture - cosmetic enhancements at the salon. He is so enamoured with his new scheme that he is still avoiding debts he's been racking up since he and Grayson parted ways. Meanwhile, a stranger arrives in town looking for Robbie. Hayley is immediately distrustful and she says she's never heard of Robert Fraser. When she tells Robbie about the incident, Robbie is blase and assumes it must have been a previous conquest. Dave soon returns, and this time he makes it clear that he means business. Hayley demands to know what's going on and Robbie confesses that Dave has probably been sent by his old landlord, looking for some back rent. Robbie leaves, intending to sort it out, but before he can do anything, Dave grabs him and escorts him down Paton's lane. The sinister debt collector lets Robbie know that he owes a lot more than back rent and he wants it all today.

Things haven't been going great for Theresa either. Jo ousted her from the junior talent show and she's having limited success rounding up slave auction volunteers. In addition, it seems everyone in Shieldinch finds it hard to believe that a leopard can change its spots. When she sees Robbie and Dave together, her interest is piqued. Robbie then goes to Hayley and confesses all - can she ask Gordon for the money? Just when Robbie thinks it might get sorted, he returns home to find Dave in his flat. Dave coerces Robbie into giving up his watch, Deek's laptop and several other valuable goods to go towards his debt. Deek comes home to find his belongings gone - and in no uncertain terms lets Robbie know that unless they're returned today, he'll find himself turfed out on to the street.

As Robbie is becoming increasingly desperate, Scarlett gives him a bag of takings from the charity day and asks him to take it to Murray at the community centre. Robbie does so, resisting the urge to steal the money. In the pub, Hayley tells Robbie that Gordon won't give him the money - Robbie doesn't know what to do. Dave grabs him in the pub hallway, and threatens to go to Robbie's parents if he can't find the money. Fearful for his mum and dad's safety, Robbie promises to get it. Robbie sneaks Murray's keys from his jacket and heads to the community centre where he steals the charity money. He gives it to Dave but it's still not enough.

Meanwhile, Theresa begins to compere the slave auction, but the crowd hardly warm to her, and she lets Scarlett take over, annoyed that no-one in this community seems to be giving her the benefit of the doubt. Just as she's about to leave she spots Robbie acting very suspiciously. Jo returns from the community centre and tells Murray that the money has gone missing. Robbie can barely hide his guilt but to his surprise, Theresa turns up and says that she has taken the money for safe keeping. Trying to make himself scarce, Robbie is collared by Theresa. She gets him the rest of the money and tells him he can pay her back later. Robbie takes the cash to Dave and secures the return of the goods from the flat. Relieved that it is all over, Robbie leaves Dave, only to see the malevolent Theresa looking on with interest. Out of the frying pan, into the fire.

Unaware of the events with Robbie and Theresa, Scarlett has her own worries. Her temperature is creeping up but she wants the day to be a success so much that she hides it from her family. At the slave auction she begins to flag and eventually collapses. Jimmy and Michael rush to her aid, Michael suspecting neutropenia - a life threatening infection. The ambulance comes and Scarlett is taken to hospital but insists the day carry on without her.

Nicole is miffed when her pal Carmen steals the boy she is interested in. Nick Morrison spots her mood and gives her a pep talk but Nicole takes Nick's advice a bit too literally and gives Carmen a soaking. Carmen, Michael and Leyla are furious at Nicole's behaviour but when they've all gone Nick comforts Nicole. It seems he's the only one who understands what she is going through.
