Theresa decides to call in Robbie's debt. Raymond accidentally ruins Stuart's christening gown. And Jimmy resorts to desperate measures when he finds himself in trouble.
Robbie still wears the bruises from the attack Theresa orchestrated last week. She approaches him in the street and, when Robbie assumes that they are even now, she quickly puts him in his place. She tells him she wants money today - money Robbie doesn't have. At the salon, Robbie desperately searches the till for cash, but there isn't enough. Sickened by himself, he lifts a customer's purse and pockets the money. Desperate for more, Robbie is rifling through Hayley's purse when she catches him. Robbie comes clean about his whole story, but Hayley is unsympathetic. Robbie doesn't know what to do with himself - he decides to leave town and packs a bag. Jack comes to see him, worried. Robbie tells him he's leaving. Theresa comes to the salon looking for Robbie, but Hayley tells her he won't be back. Undeterred, Theresa transfers Robbie's debt to Hayley and demands money from her. Hayley gets the money but before Theresa arrives she marks the cash with a pen. Theresa appears and takes the money from Hayley, who calls the police as soon as Theresa has gone. Theresa is flashing her cash in the pub when Leo arrives and announces that Hayley is talking to the police. Theresa panics and heads round to Bob's garage, asking him for a car so that she can leave town for a couple of days. Hayley arrives back at her flat, but just as she gets in the door she is attacked from behind by Theresa. Theresa rants at Hayley and leaves her tied up while she tries to escape. Robbie receives a worrying text from Theresa and dashes back to Shieldinch to find Hayley bound and gagged and with a head wound. Meanwhile, Theresa is having trouble getting Bob's car to start when suddenly police sirens fill the air. It dawns on Theresa that her own son has betrayed her. She runs for it, but is caught by the police. Robbie decides he must tell the police the whole story before she can.
It's Stuart's christening and Eileen is showing off his gown - a very expensive one in Raymond's books. Calamity ensues when Raymond accidentally spills some sauce on the gown then ruins it by chucking it in the washing machine. Eileen is furious and Raymond heads out sheepishly to find a replacement. He is having no luck when Liz comes to the rescue. She has an heirloom that'll be perfect. However, when Malcolm delivers the gown it turns out to be ghastly - but they have no choice but to use it, Liz would be crestfallen if they didn't. When Liz sees Stuart in the frock, she realises there has been a mistake. Malcolm obviously brought the wrong box round - Stuart is wearing an old doll's dress. But when Liz tries to tell her, Eileen doesn't let her finish, lying that she loves it. At the christening, everyone is laughing at the gown, but Liz tells Annie about the misunderstanding. Annie passes on the information to Raymond who, enormously relieved, goes about getting the real gown for Stuart. Celebrating, Eileen and Raymond accidentally spill some red wine on the good gown, but by this point, Eileen can laugh about the whole situation.
Malcolm is painting the ceiling when he accidentally spills paint on the sofa. He phones the insurance company who agree to pay up without inspecting the damage. Stella and Charlie help Malcolm dump the sofa and when Stella hears the story she formulates a plan. Stella calls her insurance company with the same result. They pay up without any inspection required. They dump the sofa in the pend and tell Big Bob about their scam. Big Bob relates the story to Jimmy and they decide to get in on the action, but when they arrive at the pend the sofa is gone. Jimmy decides to go for it anyway, no one has sent an inspector so far. Jimmy calls and gets the claim put through immediately, but later he gets a return call from the insurance company advising that they're going to have to do a spot check. Jimmy panics, and throws paint on his sofa so that he won't be accused of fraud. He's still trying to clear up the mess when a nonplussed Scarlett discovers him - telling him he better do a good job, because he'll be sleeping on that sofa tonight.
