Window cleaning business owner Craig Taylor and cafe manager wife Lucy have been looking for a dream home where they can start a family for the past three years.

Despite a healthy budget, sky high prices in the Oxfordshire villages where they're searching means they've struggled to find the right place. But with the news Lucy was pregnant, the couple have just taken the plunge and bought a derelict bungalow.

The plan is to demolish it and, using the original floorplans, transform it into a family home. But with very little building experience, have they bitten off more than they can chew?

Jules Hudson is on hand to advise and inspire, introducing them to experienced renovators of an old barn in Buckinghamshire who had to start from scratch - rather like Lucy and Craig are about to do. They've kept the barn's floorplan while adding their own design details, transforming it into a stunning family home.
