Textile designer June Swindell and sales manager Keith Marsh have decided it is time to get their first place together, and are looking to leave London for Brighton in Sussex. The couple have absolutely no renovation experience, but they have come up with a rather unorthodox approach to financing the process.

To give Keith and June an idea of what their project may involve, Jules Hudson introduces them to experienced homeowners who have done it all before.

The couple view a vacant four-bedroom end-of-terrace in Brighton with bags of potential, and are inspired by a beautiful home which was formerly a run-down cottage and stable block that hadn't been lived in for years.
