Ian has the weight of the world on his shoulders when he sees the state of his new restaurant, but will he find a way out of trouble? Kat's goodwill gets thrown back in her face.

Ian鈥檚 builders leave when he鈥檚 unable to pay them an extra 拢3000. Ian hides his troubles from Lucy. Janine refuses to lend Ian more money and threatens to withdraw her investment completely. Ian can鈥檛 find a new builder. Jean helps Ian clear rubble from the restaurant and finds a lock box. It鈥檚 Derek鈥檚; Ian finds family photos, a letter from David to Carol and an envelope of cash inside. Lucy visits the site and tells Ian she鈥檚 proud of him. Although torn when he sees Alice, Ian calls the builders - they can start work again on Monday.

Kat鈥檚 annoyed that Roxy told Janine she and Michael were together. Amy鈥檚 unsettled, Kat reassures her that the bad man鈥檚 gone. Amy repeats this to Alfie; Kat offers an explanation that makes Roxy look good. Roxy鈥檚 grateful and brings Kat a family picture Amy鈥檚 drawn. They agree they don鈥檛 have to be a messed up family.

Mo demands the rent for No.23. Michael hands his over in return for Mo鈥檚 key. Michael thinks he鈥檚 made a breakthrough with Janine but, believing he鈥檚 with Kat, Janine declares chance meetings are the only way he鈥檒l see Scarlett from now on. Alice can鈥檛 find a job. Michael refuses to lend her any rent money. Fed up, Alice harangues Michael. Impressed, he apologises and gives her the money.

Jay鈥檚 hurt when he realises Dexter and Phil are scamming customers behind his back. Dexter鈥檚 amused when Jay ineptly attempts a scam. Phil reassures Jay he doesn鈥檛 think he鈥檚 soft. Jay buys an old banger; he and Dexter can do it up to make money for their holiday.

Poppy鈥檚 belief that she and Fatboy are 100% compatible is shattered when he leaves tuna in its tin. In recompense, Fatboy suggests Poppy create a 鈥楶oppy encyclopaedia鈥�. Poppy鈥檚 touched and they decide they鈥檙e perfect enough.
