Desperate to please Michael, Alice takes a risk in the hope of getting closer to Janine. With the custody decision approaching, Lola worries Sharon's issues could ruin everything.

Michael鈥檚 furious to find a nonchalant Janine has hired a nanny to look after Scarlett. Poppy鈥檚 worried when she overhears Michael calling Alice 鈥榓mazing鈥�, who鈥檚 offered help. Alice goes to Janine, determined to win Michael鈥檚 favour, but Janinewon鈥檛 listen. Hurt and angry, Michael says he鈥檇 do anything for someone he could reply upon. So when Alice spots the nanny鈥檚 back turned, she frames neglect by taking Scarlett back to Janine. Janine is livid, and after initial hesitation, she hires Alice to replace the nanny. Alice tells a horrified Poppy that her dad must be looking down on her, supplying a few ideas. Michael tells her he鈥檚 proud but that they must make Janine think they don鈥檛 get along. He leans in for a near kiss.

Lola鈥檚 disgusted to find that Sharon has bought Lexi a new cot. Panicking, she tells Trish, who鈥檚 called in, that Sharon鈥檚 jinxing everything. Lola鈥檚 not happy when Billy says he can鈥檛 join her to a Mitchell family meal tomorrow 鈥� he鈥檚 got a date with Ava. Questioned, she reveals to Billy that she found Sharon unconscious after taking some pills and is worried social services will find out.

Patrick鈥檚 suspicious when Kim鈥檚 double booking a room. He and Denise question Kim, finding that she鈥檚 been letting Jen, a business student, run a masseuse service from the B and B. Kim tells Ray, who鈥檚 stressed to find Sasha鈥檚 mum鈥檚 ill after a car crash, that she鈥檚 there for him.

When Denise sees Ian splashing the cash on his businesses, he promises her he鈥檒l spoil her too.

Questioned by Max, Kirsty claims to have morning sickness. He later buys her flowers, to show he cares. Kirsty keeps cancelling phone calls. Kat warns her that Max won鈥檛 be fooled 鈥� he鈥檚 been through the baby routine before鈥�
