Paul's is based on the sweet, spicy American pumpkin pie but uses very British beetroot which gives it an amazing, deep colour and flavour.

JB Christie鈥檚 make over 1,200 scotch pies every day and were recently awarded the accolade of best Scotch pie in the world. More than 100 butchers and bakers submitted 500 pies, pasties, sausage rolls, bridies and savouries into the competition, with the Airdrie bakers coming out on top. The bakery, now owned by Andrew Chisholm, also took a gold award for its speciality onion pie in the hot savoury category.

Omar Allibhoy is a 28 year old chef trained by the legendary Ferran Adria of El Bulli fame. He arrived in the UK eight years ago to take over the reins at El Pirata DeTapas and wanted to put tapas on the map in the UK. Drawing a giant T for Tapas on a map of England, he set out on his motorbike and spent two weeks travelling along this T, cooking for anyone that he met along the way. The trip was a great success, and he became known as a crusader for Spanish food and culture.
