In this episode of Neighbourhood Blues the neighbourhood police team in Hull chase after a drink driver who is fleeing the wreckage of a van he has just slammed into the lights at a pedestrian crossing. Two female community support officers are the first on the scene and manage to sit on top of the man in an effort to try and stop him getting away before help can arrive.
On an industrial estate in Grimsby, a youth fleeing the police has fallen through a factory roof and suffered a broken wrist. As the police mount an operation to rescue him, CCTV reveals that the gang he was a part of has been on a trail of destruction. A shop window has been smashed and a thirteen-year-old girl has hurled racial abuse at the shopkeeper.
The curtain comes down on this series finale with the explosive destruction of two well-known landmarks in Hull. Members of the neighbourhood team help demolition experts make sure everything goes smoothly as two run down tower blocks are raised to the ground to make way for the regeneration of one of the city's favourite housing estates.
