It's the biggest night in the global entertainment industry and at this year's Oscars young British talent has a chance of taking away two of the biggest awards...and one of the smallest.

Director Steve McQueen and actor Chiwetel Ejiofor are up for Best Director and Best Actor for the epic 12 Years A Slave. Meanwhile two young guys from Manchester - operating at the opposite end of the movie industry - are also nominated. Mark Gill and Baldwin Li's debut The Voorman Problem is up for the Best Short Film (Live Action) Oscar and they will take their places at the ceremony alongside the greats of the movie industry.
