The medal factory

The National Cycling Centre was Britain's first indoor Olympic cycling track.听

SInce it opened in 1994, it has become one of the World's fastest board tracks for cycling.

The track is used seven days a week with a comprehensive programme of activities for all levels of ability, making it the busiest in the world.听听

Catering for elite athletes and novices, the track offers sessions to anyone seeking to experience cycling as a sport.

Regular users of the National Cycling Centre include members of the Great Britain track cycling team, including Sir Chris Hoy and Laura Trott, plus听local school children and track enthusiasts.

The centre鈥檚 BMX track opened in August 2011 and offers facilities to both new riders and world class BMX athletes.

This 拢24 million purpose built indoor complex houses the UK鈥檚 only permanent indoor BMX track with seating for 2,000 fans.听
