Correction: Tyre sizes
In the episode broadcast 18/09/2014 Tim Milsom from the Trading Standards Institute demonstrated a number of faults and illegalities on a test car. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
During the episode Tim correctly noted that having different size tyres on the same side the test vehicle would be illegal. Tim has asked us to clarify that this is not the case for all vehicles models. However it is the case for ALL vehicles that tyres on the same axle have to be the same size but can differ from front to back 鈥 this means that both front tyres have to be the same size / profile and both rears tyres the same size / profile.
