LUCY KAY

Lucy Kay first appeared on our screens in spring this year on Britain鈥檚 Got Talent. Her magnificent voice won the public鈥檚 hearts and she reached second place in the final with her performance of 鈥楴essun Dorma鈥. Originally from Leicester, Lucy discovered her love of classical music from an early age. She first performed in The Big Sing in 2006 with girls choir 鈥楥antamus.鈥 This year she will lead the congregation to perform The King of 鈥楲ove My Shepherd Is.鈥

NELL BRYDEN

is an American singer-songwriter born and raised in Brooklyn. She is a classically trained musician and studied the cello for 10 years. She has performed at The Royal Albert Hall before when she supported Jools Holland in 2013. Nell supported Gary Barlow on tour in 2013 and has toured throughout the UK. Nell performs 鈥楳orning Has Broken鈥 with Aled Jones on the Albert Hall Stage accompanied by flautist Emma Sweeney and Guitarist Simon Johnson.

KATHERINE JENKINS

Mezzo-Soprano has performed all over the world including The Royal Albert Hall many times. Katherine has dueted with international stars including Andrea Bocelli and Placido Domingo. Katherine is originally from Neath in Wales where she sang regularly with the church choir in her parish church, St David鈥檚. Katherine performs the UK鈥檚 favourite Hymn, as voted for by Songs of Praise audience 鈥楬ow Great Thou Art.鈥

GREGORY PORTER

is a Grammy Award winning American Jazz vocalist, songwriter and actor. He was born is Los Angeles and raised in California in the gospel tradition by his minister mother. Gregory has become a favourite on 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio 2 and recently performed at the summer 鈥淧roms in the Park鈥. Gregory performs 鈥楬is Eye Is on The Sparrow鈥 with accompanist Chip Crawford.


LEWES SINGS GOSPEL

were delighted to be crowned in early October 2014 at The Hackney Empire. They wowed the judges with their performances conducted by the highly respected choir director听Karen Gibson and were subsequently overjoyed at the invitation to perform 鈥淟ord You Are Good鈥 at The Royal Albert Hall for The Big Sing. 听The choir are a community choir run by Southover Church in Lewes. Southover is a medium-sized Anglican church, with a passion to be outward-focussed and the gospel choir is one way in which it makes connections between those inside and outside the church.
