Two girls from Hertfordshire who love to torment their teachers are off to the wilds of Africa to enrol at a no-nonsense school in Botswana.
Fourteen-year-old Jodie has a school reputation that is in need of a complete overhaul. Her best buddy Chelsea who is also 14 has an attitude that is always landing her in detention. Together they are known by their teachers as Double Trouble.
How will they survive this Extreme School experience?
The girls touch down in the Okavango delta and are immediately in for a shock. It's 35 degrees and there are wild animals in the road. And things get even more intense on the first school run when the girls have to head miles off the beaten track.
When the girls arrive at school, they are shocked by the building but even more shocked by the tough punishments. Things go from bad to worse when they try to ignore the uniform policy and come face to face with the scary school disciplinarian Mr Manenji who gives them an ultimatum. Then it's straight to lessons - extreme biology, traditional dance and Setswana classes.
On top of all that, they are given a taste of their own medicine when they are tasked with teaching a young class a performance they will present at the school's end-of-week culture concert.
But both have their eyes opened to the possibilities of hard work from two very surprising sources.
Will it be an A in Africa or bottom of the class in Botswana?
