Two cheeky 13-year-old boys from Glasgow who answer back to teachers and disrupt their classmates sign up to a week at a strict Muslim school in Singapore.
Reagan and Saqlain are shocked by the long list of rules and punishments read to them on arrival by the headmaster, Mr Isham, and they quickly fall foul of Mr Mustaqim, the school disciplinarian, for failing to adhere to the strict uniform policy. The boys are thrown in at the deep end when they have to introduce themselves in Malay in front of the whole school and recite the Singaporean national pledge. But after a successful martial arts lesson, things take a bad turn as a random uniform inspection ends up with the boys having to clean the toilets as a punishment.
Mr Isham hopes he can inspire the boys and sends Reagan to train with Olympic 100m sprinter Gary Yeo, while aspiring pilot Saqlain takes control of a flight simulator. For their end-of-week challenge, they must take part in a concert showcasing the students' talents, requiring them to learn a traditional Singaporean Indang dance routine and recite a poem that reflects their time at the school. The boys need to hold their nerve as guests arrive, including the British high commissioner to Singapore and the Singaporean minister in charge of Muslim affairs. Can they make themselves and the school proud and do enough to pass Extreme School?
