Since it opened two years ago, The Hub BT80 has been successful in helping the听people of Cookstown听learn new skills as well as听creating a sense of community in the town. Last听year this was recognised when founder Carol Doey won a Spirit of Norhtern Ireland Award. Carol will be joining us on the show to tell us all about The Hub and the plans for 2015.听

The clock in the Tower of Bangor Abbey has been telling time to the people of County Down since it was presented by the Honourable Robert Ward in in 1829. That was before even the railways came to Bangor.

So after 186听years,听Reverend Brian Moller thought it could do with a facelift. Conor McKay met the Reverand along with the Rector of the Abbey Ronnie Nesbitt and听clockmaker Chris Cavan听to hear more about the project.

If you go through Maghera in Country Derry and up a mountain on the other side, you鈥檒l find yourself in a place called Carntogher. That鈥檚 where emigrants used to leave stones as they made their way, by foot, from mid-Ulster to the ships in Derry city that would take them to the New World. That history has inspired musician Nodlaig Brolly to write a song, 鈥淭he Emigrant Carn.鈥� Anne-Marie joined her at the Stones to hear more.

The Pushkin Trust has been uniting children and adults in the common bond of creativity for 27 years now, and it's all down to one woman. Anne-Marie met The Duchess of Abercorn at her home in Baronscourt, County Tyrone to find out about her spiritual home and ancestral connections which inspired The Puskin听Trust.

Helen Mark has been out Ballymena way, to a farm in the Glenwherry area near Slemish, where听she met two brothers who have been awarded Wildlife Farmers of the year. James and David Bonnar听won the Dankse Bank prize for their work which improves conditions on thier land听for several birds as well as flora and fauna. Lapwing, Snipe and Curlew are听just a few of the species which have benefited from their work.听

The Irish Astronomical Association are having their New Year get together tonight on Drumhirk Road, Comber, County Down. President Terry Moseley joins us on the show to talk about all things astronomical and Jupiter鈥檚 Moons in particular since they're听focus of听film being show at the get together tonight.

The IAA organised Observing nights at Delamont Country Park start again this month on the night of January 16/17th
