Three years ago a motorcycling accident left Stan Baum fighting for his life. Although he was recovering, wife Andrea believed moving to Australia could help the process and offer the couple a better future.
One year ago, they spent an emotional trial week living in Brisbane, before being faced with a life-changing decision - if they should leave behind loved ones who had helped them through tough times and make the move down under.
One year on, Nicki Chapman finds out on which side of the world the couple are now living.

UPDATE: Baum family
After initially moving to Melbourne, Andrea managed to secure work in the couple鈥檚 preferred city of Brisbane. Stan and Andrea moved there in August 2014.
Stan has managed to regain his driving licence, and is still training every day to improve his recovery.
The couple are currently saving up so they can start exploring Australia in the next few months, and have a trip to Sydney planned in March.
