Nick Vujicic
Nick Vujicic is an inspirational speaker and bestselling author. His videos on YouTube have had in excess of 100 million hits. He’s spoken to audiences in 57 countries and reached a tenth of the world’s population. His message is a simple story of hope.  was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1982 but for his parents the joy of their firstborn was replaced with utter shock. For no medical reason and with no warning, Nick was born with no arms and no legs. His parents were told he would never go to school, never walk, never have a job, never get married and at the age of 10 Nick was so depressed by his condition that he attempted to commit suicide.
But his parents are strong Christians. They saw their son as a gift from God but just one that was differently packaged! Through their inspiration Nick’s own personal faith grew and became strong. He realised he had a choice – to be angry at what he didn’t have or be thankful for what he did have. Since that time he has consistently defied the odds. He felt called to be a speaker and has since taken his message all over the world, a simple message of God’s love and faith in Jesus – that everyone is valuable and everyone is made for a purpose. Songs of Praise caught up with him minutes before he spoke at an event in London's ExCel arena.
