RNLI

Josie d鈥橝rby is all at sea as she joins the crew of the as they brace themselves for the busiest period of the year. Last year more than 10, 000 people were rescued by lifeboat crews across Britain. Josie meets Deputy Second Coxswain Carl Beardmore to discover the motivation behind his work and how his Christian faith influences him. She also goes ashore during Falmouth鈥檚 International Sea Shanty Festival.

Angel Blue

is an American Soprano singer who was born in Southern California in 1984. She studied Opera in Los Angeles and was awarded a place on Placido Domingo's Young Artist Programme. She has appeared on stages throughout the world and is now based in London. On Songs of Praise this week she talks movingly about her faith, her love of music and the loss of her father.

Abbey to Skatepark

For two days every February half term, a group called Christian Skaters UK help to transform in Wiltshire into an indoor skate park. The event which draws children and young people from Malmesbury and beyond to the Abbey has become more popular with each year and is now a firm fixture in the Abbey calendar. We sent David Grant along to join in the fun.

Fishwives Choir

Diane Louise Jordan is in Southend On Sea meeting a group of Fishwives who can sing. She hears from founder member Jane Dolby how she was inspired to form the group following the tragic death of her husband Colin, who was a fisherman.
