Omagh's Young Shepherd
Anne Marie will be coming live from Omagh this week in celebration of Radio Ulster鈥檚 40th birthday! She will be talking with local farmers and those involved in this year鈥檚 Omagh Show as well as spending some time with the local animals, including chickens and the show鈥檚 first donkeys in 175 years!
Amongst the hopefuls is eleven year old shepherd Alex Colhoun from Gortin, who will be showing off his prized Jacob sheep. He and his father Paul are very fond of the sheep, which have won them awards in the past. Anne Marie took a trip to their home place to see the sheep getting washed and ready for the show.
Celebrating American Independance
As well as the Omagh show and our 40th birthday, Saturday also marks the American Independence Day, which means it will be a big day for the Ulster American Folk Park in Castletown. Anne Marie will be hearing from manager Richard Hurst, who will be talking about everything the park has in store for the big day.
