Stories
7/7 10 Year Anniversary
To mark the 10th Anniversary of the London terrorist attacks of 7/7 Claire McCollum meets two individuals whose faith has sustained them as their lives were changed forever on that tragic day.
Cathedral Choir
Back in 2012, decreasing choir numbers forced to consider new ways to reconnect with the wider community. They took a chance and offered free singing lessons to several inner city primary schools that had no previous connections with the cathedral. By working closely with the schools, they hoped to find the new members they so desperately needed.Ìý
Head of Vocal Tuition, Catherine Harper, has found some budding choristers to bring back to the cathedral for rehearsals. The future of the Cathedral Choirs looks bright, with six daily choral services each week.Ìý The Senior Girls and Lay Clerks of St Anne’s sing for us, A Prayer of St Patrick.

Korean Missionaries
In 1992 Pastor Choi planted a church in South Korea with only a handful of believers. Now that church is the Kwang Myung Presbyterian Church with a little under 10,000 members.
Pastor Choi feels deep affection for the people of the UK and particularly gratitude for the British Missionaries who gave their lives to bring the Christian gospel to Korea over the past 200 years. For this reason he wants to bless the UK and to pray fervently for revival in the churches here. Thanks to his vision, 350 members of his church came over to the UK in late June at their own expense. They stay in small teams in churches across the country and their mission is very simple – they take it in turns to pray 24 hours a day.
Pam Rhodes went to visit which itself is developing a dedicated prayer centre and has even built special prayer sheds on its balcony! Hope Chapel are hosting a group of Koreans for the second year running. Founding Pastor Silas Crawley has a great affinity for the Korean Church having read of the growth of the church there and having visited Seoul and jumped at the chance to host a team coming to pray for his city.
Pam met Silas, witnessed the very lively Korean prayer sessions and spoke to Pastor Choi about why he wanted to bring his congregation to pray for the UK.
