Stories
Safe Gorton
The was born out of the realities of gang violence in this inner city part of Manchester. David meets retired Detective Chief Inspector Allan Donoghue who explains how money confiscated by the police from the proceeds of organised crime has been returned to the community and has funded the opening of a new recording studio. David sets the young musicians from the community a song writing challenge and we hear the results of their work.
Surrogate Sisters
A sisters’ relationship can be very special. In hard times throughout their lives they are often there to help and support one another. Sally Magnusson has been to South London to meet two sisters whose bond was so strong it provided an incredible gift of hope out of adversity.
Becoming Jo
Jo Clifford is one of Scotland’s best known playwrights although many of her works were penned under her original name John Clifford. We hear how belonging to an inclusive church in Edinburgh has helped Jo on her transgender journey.Â
