Kenny Macleod lives on the Isle of Scalpay in the Western Isles. A few years ago, he received news from another country that someone he did not know was looking for him, someone who was sure that they had the same father.
All his life, Hans H酶jgaard had been searching for a father he had never seen and never knew. In his work as the skipper of a Faroese trawler, he had anchored very close to the Isle of Scalpay, not knowing that his father's relatives were alive and close at hand.
Before he found out where his father came from and that he had a half-brother, Hans had to carry out much research over a long period of time. He visited the archives in Torsh谩vn and Inverness and communicated with a genealogist in the Isle of Harris.
In the summer of 2010, Hans and Kenny met for the first time. This extraordinary story tells how Kenny and Hans are growing closer and closer to each other.
