Mary Anne celebrates the joy of brass with the New Orleans-based outfit, Hot 8 Brass Band!

The group formed 20 years ago after sousaphone player Bennie Pete merged two former Fortier High School student groups, the High Steppers and the Looney Tunes Brass Bands.

They've since brought out three albums, 'Rock with the Hot 8', 'The Life and Times of the Hot 8 Brass Band' and 'Tombstone', and have featured in two Spike Lee documentaries, When the Levees Broke (2006) and If God Is Willing and Da Creek Don't Rise (2010).

Expect to hear some funk-filled tunes over the next three hours, including the band's absolutely brilliant covers of 'Sexual Healing' and 'Ghost Town'...
