Local councillors say not enough social homes are being built to meet the need.

Around 1,300 social houses will be built in Derry and Strabane over the next three years despite major concerns over a housing crisis in the area. The Housing Executive says 1,200 cases were accepted as homeless last year, but the number of people who say they need a house is higher. The head of the Executive admits lots of work needs to be done to meet housing need.
