Ben Fogle and Kate Humble are back at the park for a heart-wrenching instalment of Animal Park.

Down at Monkey Temple, the keepers are on high alert. The cotton-top tamarins are under attack from above. At 400 grams, one of the females, Luanna, is the perfect sized snack for a crow. A group of crows is called a murder, and keeper Sam has no doubt that is what they are capable of. But now there are several six-week-old baby tamarins in the group, who are an even easier target than the adults. Sam is trying out some scarecrows in the hope they will prevent an airborne attack, but will it work?

Over in the bongo house, there is another winged menace. Ben becomes keeper Leah’s assistant and today their patient is Elf. Horseflies have been biting him, so it is up to Leah and Ben to ensure Elf gets a soothing and healing ointment.

And up in the giraffe house, keeper Ryan has become increasingly concerned that one of the giraffes in his care, young male Kaiser, is not well, but the vets can’t put their finger on what is wrong with him. He continues to have a healthy appetite but is losing weight. With tests so far coming back inconclusive, all the symptoms are pointing towards tuberculosis. This killer disease was recently detected on a nearby farm and if it has spread to the park and to Kaiser, it could mean that the rest of the herd have it too. If any animal tests positive, the only option is to put them to sleep. The vets and the keepers must test all 14 giraffes to rule out TB – the herd’s survival hangs in the balance. Will the mystery of Kaiser’s illness be solved? Today's episode comes with a ‘mascara warning’ - but will they be tears of joy or sadness?
