IMPACT has innovative means of reaching people without access to healthcare. In Bangladesh - a country of more than 700 rivers - their fully-equipped hospital on a boat is the perfect way to take medical care and surgery to rural communities, to reverse disabling conditions.

When Bokul developed cataracts at just 40, she lost her sight, income and independence and was too poor to afford medical treatment. Bokul thought she would never see again until IMPACT鈥檚 floating hospital moored at a riverbank near her village.聽After surgery on board, she said, 鈥業鈥檓 so relieved I can see again 鈥� and I鈥檓 no longer a burden on my family鈥�.听听
