Non-essential retailers are preparing to reopen their doors in England, Wales and Northern Ireland from Monday. It's a lifeline after months of lockdown which have seen big names like Debenhans and John Lewis close stores amid huge losses and the continued march of online shopping. A strange time, then, to be opening a brand new 拢160 million designer retail complex in the West Midlands. We speak to the man who's in charge of doing exactly that.
Road safety experts are calling for the introduction of breathalyser-style technology that would prevent cars from starting if the driver had been drinking. It's because the number of drink driving cases has been slowly rising in the UK after decades in reverse.
