In the late 1980s, Londoner Rory O'Hara, living with his American wife and his two children, decides that opportunities have dried up for him in the States and the family should relocate back to England, where he can utilise his skills in the burgeoning investment markets. Wife Allison reluctantly agrees, but the resettlement is far from easy.
