On the 18th November 1910 thousands of women from across the country marched on Parliament Square in a demonstration for the right of women to vote. Led by the formidable Emmeline Pankhurst it was an event that would make an indelible mark on history. But amongst the famous names of the Suffragette movement who took their places that day, was one whose story has never been told. Walking quietly beside Emmeline Pankhurst on what became known as "Black Friday", was Sophia Duleep Singh: Indian Princess, Goddaughter of Queen Victoria, high society favourite, and...revolutionary fighter for women's rights across the world.
In this film, for the first time, Sophia's extraordinary and long forgotten story will finally be told.
