Oxfordshire's Dairy farmers struggle as prices get squeezed

Dairy farmers say rising costs and plummeting supermarket prices for milk, have left their businesses on the brink.

Eye Chip - A man with an inherited form of blindness has been able to identify letters and a clock face using a pioneering implant. The Finish man was fitted with an experimental chip behind his retina in Germany. The chip allows a patient to detect objects with their eyes, unlike a rival approach that uses an external camera. Trials are soon to begin in Oxford, we'll hear from the RP Fighting Blindness charity who are wanting to moderate expectations.

Farming - Animal feed costs are rising for farmers, but what impact is that having? Two thirds of dairy farmers in our region have left the industry in the last 10 years, but is this good news for other types of farm?

US Elections - It was a big night for Americans as they voted in the mid term elections, but what impact will it all have? We will talk to a one time US political insider.

Tuition Fees - Today the government announced it's intention to allow universities to charge up to 拢9,000 a year! Something that hasn't been welcomed by students.

Mercers Money - Retailers say food prices last month were sharply higher than a year ago - driven up by the increased cost of wheat - and one of the high street's leading fashion chains warns clothes are likely to go up by nearly eight per cent next year because of more expensive cotton.

Bins - If you live in the Vale, have you had a letter threatening you with a fine for not sorting your bins out properly! Well all may not be what it seems.
