Rabbit eviction

Alan Titchmarsh visits Skomer Island off the south-west coast of Wales to see rabbits. Until the Normans introduced rabbits there were none in Britain. Back then, they were a prized delicacy so they were kept on islands to stop the peasants stealing them. Soon they were all over the place. But on Skomer they have helped out some of the native wildlife. The puffins find the rabbit burrows are a perfect place to make their nests so they just boot the rabbits out.
