Two Northants schools could merge

Two secondary schools in Northamptonshire could merge because of falling pupil numbers. The county council is proposing the move for Roade School and Kingsbrook School in Deanshanger.

Two secondary schools in Northamptonshire could merge because of falling pupil numbers.

The county council is proposing the move for Roade School and Kingsbrook School in Deanshanger.

If approved, the two would become one school with a new name, uniform and identity.

A statement from on Raode School's website says: decreasing numbers of young people living in the catchment areas has meant reduced funding and difficulty in recruiting staff.
